I’m no Doctor, nutritionist, or even in the medical field in general. But I can attest to the wonders of eating clean and staying active. Last year my fiancé got a new job which meant he had to get checked out by the doctor for his insurance. So he went in on a morning in May for a biometrics screening. This screens for blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood glucose, as well as other measurements the company and insurance require. Well then we got a surprise and lets just say it wasn’t a very good one. They did an A1c test which is a test to see if you are at risk for diabetes. The normal hemoglobin levels are like 4.5-5.6, for pre-diabetes it’s 5.6-6.5 and 6.5+ you are diabetic. Well my fiancés test results came back at a 6.3, which kind of hit us in the gut and scared the living crap out of us. So we got home and were like OKAY this is a huge wake up call we need to change something because we are headed down the path of many health problems that can be prevented. We started changing stuff gradually until we really couldn’t lose anymore weight with what we were doing and instead of jumping into another fad diet(which we would have in the past) we decided lets get some professional health. In January 2013 we had our first appointment with our nutritionist and this is when our grocery list changed dramatically, we saw more veggies and lean proteins and fruits instead of chips, fried foods, pizza, and other bad food. We started learning how to eat and it wasn’t hard nor did it require us to eat nasty food!!!! Not only did we eat better but we had more energy and lo and behold we started going to the gym. Of course I’m not going to say we go 5-6 times a week but we do go at least 3 times a week and we are gradually going to transition into the 5-6 times a week. So after lots of changes mentally and physically he decided he wanted to see how his health was and if anything had changed. So he set up another biometrics screening and guess what the test results came back with. His hemoglobin levels had drastically changed from the 6.3 range to 5.0!!! Not only did he not jump into diabetes but he was not pre-diabetic anymore. This is such a blessing and we will continue to fight to become even more healthy!!! Like I said I am no doctor or nutritionist but I can wholeheartedly say that this has changed our lives and I would recommend this to anyone who asks. Stop doing fad diets, because they do not work!!! Change your lifestyle and watch the results happen right in front of your eyes! It’s amazing what your body can do when you decide that enough is enough and start believing that you can!!! :) I am also not writing this so you can applaud us but I am writing it in hopes that it will help you!!! I know changing your lifestyle is scary and it’s hard but it is SOOOO worth it! It will seriously change your life!!!!
Hahahhaha yes

But no reason to make you guys suffer another week without me sharing what I would have been doing. I will however try and do SOMETHING and hopefully start incorporating these workouts again in my routine ASAP!!!
